Pearson Park will serve one large community made up of twelve smaller ones. School children from Greenspond, Valleyfield, Badger's Quay, Pool's Island, Brookfield, Wesleyville, Pound Cove, Templeman, Newtown, Cape Freels, Lumsden and Deadman's Bay will benefit from the efforts we'll be making together over the next four months.
The kids will get to choose what kind of playground equipment they'll be getting for the new park, but did you know there will be lots of things for adults too? Our wish list includes a gazebo, park benches, adult fitness equipment, walking trails, history boards for each of our twelve towns, trees, shrubs, and flowers. We want people of all ages to gather in this place to grow, learn, and build friendships together.
