The Dream

A group of community members got together to discuss a dream.  Here are some of the things we thought were important, from meeting notes...

To create a welcoming, safe space adjacent to Pearson Academy where individuals of all ages and abilities can gather to enjoy quality play, fitness, and socialization.

• our playground should be inclusive for people of all ages and abilities
• our walking trails should incorporate local heritage information points
• our social gathering place should have a gazebo, benches, and a greenspace
• we want to create a space that is suited to our unique identity which embraces our natural environment
• we want to instill a sense of belonging, school and community spirit
• we want to promote well rounded, active engaged learners who are rejuvenated by the power of play
• we want to inspire hope in our community
